If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with a career coach through the War Department’s SpouseWorks (formerly SECO) program. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their education or employment goals. The Spangdahlem Air Base Education Center enhances mission accomplishment by offering advisement and counseling on CCAF, voluntary education programs and military tuition assistance. Additionally, the education center offers testing services for PME, CDC, DLPT and other educational testing and serves as the base source for formal training, TDY-to-School requirements, on-the-job training and ancillary training.
The Spangdahlem Air Base Education Center has two on-site universities: University of Maryland Global Campus and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. University representatives are located inside the Education Center, building 129.
