With certain military moves, you may find yourself looking for housing that’s a little less permanent before making long-term arrangements. There are several temporary housing options that may be right for you. Explore the information about temporary housing facilities including allowances, lodging rates and eligibility.
Accommodations are available for individuals and families on temporary duty travel and permanent change of station in and out of the Spangdahlem community. All units come with standard Air Force Inn’s amenities including microwave, small refrigerator, and private bathrooms. Guests who are traveling with families will find a home away from home in our Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF) units located by the Spangdahlem housing area. All family TLF units include full kitchens, living rooms, full baths, washers/dryers, and balconies with table and chairs. The kitchen is supplied with cookware, dishes, and silverware for guests to use while in the TLF unit. We have units to accommodate any size family.
For those with pets, the pet temporary lodging facilities are EXTREMELY limited from June through August. Communicate with your sponsor to help make sure their furry family member is taken care of. If lodging is not available on base, you will be given a non-availability statement to stay in an off-base hotel. Space-Available reservations can be made 120 days prior to arrival and for a three-day maximum stay. If we are not able to take the reservation (due to availability or projected occupancy), we may ask you to contact us again later. Space may or may not become available. Members travelling with orders will have priority.
Our guest’s stay begins with a visit to Eifel Arms Inn website. You can make a reservation for individuals, groups, Guard/Reserve groups, PCSing members/families, TDY travel, and space available reservations.

Saber Shuttle – Airport Transportation Service
The 52 FSS provides daytime reservation-based shuttle transportation to and from Spangdahlem to Frankfurt International Airport and Ramstein Air Base Germany. Transportation of pets is possible in an approved containers on a space-available basis. Prices and dates vary. Note: Those making a permanent change of station from Korea/Japan will need to stay overnight in Frankfurt prior to proceeding to Spangdahlem on the shuttle. A list of hotels for the overnight stay is available on the 52 FSS Airport Shuttle page.
