Child Care for PCS

Eligible members will apply through the AFAS Member Portal at https://portal.afas.org and receive funding directly into designated bank account via Zelle or ACH to pay for the allowable childcare. AFAS will provide $200 per dependent child up to age 12 (not to exceed $1000 per family) to eligible members utilizing childcare at:

Family Child Care Providers

Are you looking to start your own business that allows you to work from home, set your own hours, spend time with your children, and serve your local military community? Becoming a military FCC provider may be the career option for you!
Military FCC providers are DoD-certified childcare professionals who care for children in their homes. Family child care offers a warm, home environment with a small group size and flexible hours to meet the diverse needs of military families. As a provider,
you choose the age groups and operating hours that work best for you. The FCC Program at your installation will help you every step of the way by providing DoD trained mentors and support resources, training opportunities, and a network of childcare professionals. Family Child Care (FCC)

Provides care for children and youth from two weeks to age 12, tailored to accommodate various work schedules and family needs.

The Tyndall Child Development Center provides developmental care for children age six weeks through age five to assist active duty, reserve, civilian and contractors meet their military obligations. The mission of the Tyndall AFB Child Development Center Program is to encourage a positive, safe and nurturing environment which allows children to experience activities in a variety of learning centers to enhance self-esteem, social, cognitive, creative, and physical abilities.
