Upon your arrival to Tyndall, visit the 24-hour arrival point currently located in Building 36272 (Lodging/Billeting) at 599 Suwannee Road for assistance in contacting your sponsor and obtaining general information about the base. The Visitor Center (850-283-4191) is located outside of the main gate directly across from the Sabre Gate.

Sand Dollar Inn

Tyndall Air Force Base, located in Bay County, Florida, is undergoing an unprecedented transformation. Following the devastation of Hurricane Michael in 2018, the installation is being completely rebuilt as the Department of War's premier “Base of the Future.” A critical component of this multi-billion dollar rebuild is the construction of a brand-new, state-of-the-art lodging facility designed to support the mission readiness and quality of life for airmen, families and visiting personnel.

Air Force Lodging Seasonal Rates (FY26)

As Tyndall AFB continues to integrate into the broader Air Force lodging system, standard seasonal rates apply.

Below are the room rates extending to the end of Fiscal Year 2026:

• June and July room rate
  • Visiting quarters: $164 per night
  • Temporary lodging facility: $175 per night
  • Pet TLF (if available): $185 per night
• August through September room rate
  • Visiting quarters: $99 per night
  • Temporary lodging facility: $107 per night
  • Pet TLF (if available): $117 per night

Tyndall AFB Lodging

The Sand Dollar Inn on Tyndall AFB offers a limited number of pet-friendly rooms on a first-come, first-served basis.  Guest traveling with pets are charged an additional $10 per night pet fee.

Lodging is not taking space-available reservations at this time. Most newcomers to Tyndall AFB are now eligible for up to 10 days in the temporary dorms.
