It’s likely that employment will change when a move occurs, especially for military spouses. The information below will provide you with employment assistance information and resources available such as SECO, MyCAA and MSEP Portals.
Due to budget and manpower cutbacks, employment opportunities are quite limited. It may take one to three years to find appropriated fund employment. Non-appropriated fund employment might be more available in recreational, child care and clerical. Call 011-39-0444-71-5815, 011-39-0444-71-5800 or DSN 645-8232.
For job hunting purposes, be sure to bring employment records and/or information such as resumes, transcripts, certificates, licenses, social security card and SF-50 or DA3434 as well as DD214.

The Employment Readiness Program provides a standardized set of services (employment resource information, job search assistance and career counseling), performance outcome measures (increased employment opportunities for spouses) and a professional development program. The immediate goal is to expand spouses' awareness of employment-related services at installations.
Resource Information
The ERP assists military spouses, family members and other eligible Department of Defense employees with their employment and career goals. Information on federal employment, education, volunteer opportunities and resources to obtain job skills training are available. Prospective applicants can prepare federal job applications, resumes, cover letters and surf the web for opportunities. Various "self help" books pertaining to resume writing and interview techniques, career development and occupational dictionaries are also available to view or utilize.
Services in the areas of employment, education, training and volunteer opportunities are provided to help prospective applicants identify and develop personal and professional skills that will give them the competitive edge needed to secure employment. Services provided are designed to help expedite job search and career development.
Job Search Assistance
As a viable alternative to full or part-time employment, the Army Volunteer Corps program is available to recruit and place community volunteers in a variety of volunteer positions.
