The Youth Center, located in Bldg. 702 at the Villaggio Housing Area, is next to the DoDEA Middle and High Schools. The CYS Youth Program (YP) provides a safe environment for middle and high schoolers with educational and recreational activities for youth in Grades 6-12. The center charges no fees for regular open recreation and offers activities designed to support this age group's curiosity, self-direction, and confidence, in an environment which is safe. The facility is open and lively with spaces centered on a café area where youth/teens can hang out with friends. There is a tech lab, art room, gym, games, homework lab and more. The YP staff members who work at the CYS Youth Program have the unique qualities to be responsive and empathic to the needs of pre-teens/teens. The center is a comfortable place for youth/teens to pop in and have a snack and to hang-out with friends. The CYS Youth Program offers nutritious snacks à la carte menu with a variety of choices following USDA guidelines. The CYS Youth Program also offers daily BGCA/4-H programming, lock-ins, bowling night, ski & snowboard trips, overnight trips, and weekend trips when school is out of session and summer camps (fee is involved.).

All youth/teens must register with CYS to use the center and enroll in activities.

The Youth Sports & Fitness program focuses on skill development and fun for all participants, ages 3 to 18 years. The goal is to provide an organized and supervised environment with emphasis on total participation, maximum safety, and good sportsmanship.  Youth Sports operates with the help of volunteer coaches.

CYS SKIESUnlimited offers instructional classes for youth in the areas of academics, arts, life skills and sports. SKIESUnlimited is committed to creating an environment of excellence by providing quality class materials and using instructors who are certified experts in their fields. Classes are offered for specific age groups ranging from 6 months to 18 years old. SKIESUnlimited programs include:

The term “Special Needs” covers a very broad range when registering to use CYS programs. A special need could be a special diet due to a food allergy, needing an inhaler due to asthma, a speech delay or a physical or emotional disability. During the registration process, parents fill out a health-screening tool for each child/youth to help CYS determine if any special consideration needs to be made to ensure the safety of the child/youth while in CYS care. It is the goal of CYS to reasonably accommodate individuals with special needs in order to help them integrate into the program to the extent feasible.
