Legal Assistance

The Stuttgart Law Center is located in Building 3312 on Kelley Barracks. Some of the services it provides include:

• Ministerial services: Notary services, witnessing signatures to documents and other ministerial services are required and will be provided by attorneys or paralegals under their supervision.
• Legal counseling
• Legal correspondence
• Legal negotiation
• Legal document preparation
• Legal document filing
• Pro se assistance
• In-court representation
• Alternative dispute resolution
• Legal referrals

Please be advised of the following changes effective April 1, 2025.

1. Immigration-related services will only be provided to Active-Duty Service Members. Civilians should contact an immigration attorney in their state of residence.
2. No trust services will be provided. Only will. The estate value cannot be more than $3 million. If the will worksheet states more than $3 million you should contact an estate planning attorney in their state of residence.
3. Claims will not be processed.
4. Certified translations or certified copies cannot be provided. Authenticated copies (which means that we saw the original and it matches the copied version) are possible.
5. Contractors must have proof of eligibility for legal assistance. They must present their letter of identification (LOI) or contract which should include a section that states entitlement to legal services. Contractors who are military retirees do not need to provide these documents as they are entitled to legal services.
6. To speak with an attorney, we require that clients send an email to our group inbox usarmy.stuttgart.7atc.mbx.slcla@army.mil requesting an appointment and briefly describing the issue they need help with.
