Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
It’s likely that employment will change when a move occurs, especially for military spouses. The information below will provide you with employment assistance information and resources available such as SECO, MyCAA and MSEP Portals.
Employment opportunities for Non-European Union nationals (i.e. Korean, Mexican, Canadian) are limited due to the Status of Forces Agreement. Check with the Civilian Personnel Office as well as the Army and Air Force Exchange Service’s human resources office for the current employment restrictions. Non-U.S. citizens need to apply through the local national office at their Civilian Personnel Advisory Center.
Other employment opportunities on the installation include contract positions through the Army Education Center or Army Community Services, positions through AAFES human resources or non-appropriated fund positions through your local NAF office at the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center.
For more information, call ACS at 587-2121 or CIV +49 (0)611-143-587-2121. https://ansbach.armymwr.com/programs/army-community-service
Job-seeking spouses should carry on their person important documents such as their last SF-50 (if a member of the federal civil service), leave without pay statement, DD Form 214 (if a former military service member), and college transcripts.
For more information, please contact ACS at 587-2121 or CIV +49 (0)611-143-587-2121.
Family members are encouraged to use the Army Community Service Center's Employment Readiness Program to create or update an existing resume. The ERP manager will also help you look for other employment opportunities in the community. The SF171 is accepted for Department of Defense positions only. The local job market is extremely competitive and, of course, German language capabilities are required for most positions.
Contact your local Army Community Service ERP manager for help by calling 587-2121 or CIV +49 (0)611-143-587-2121.

If you’ve thought about going to college, but didn’t know if you could afford it, then the Military Tuition Assistance program may be just the benefit you need. The program is available to active duty, National Guard and Reserve Component service members. While the decision to pursue a degree may be a difficult one personally, TA can lessen your financial concerns considerably, since it now pays up to 100% of tuition expenses for semester hours costing $250 or less.
Courses and degree programs may be academic or technical and can be taken from two- or four-year institutions on-installation, off-installation or by distance learning. An accrediting body recognized by the Department of Education must accredit the institution. Your service branch pays your tuition directly to the school. Service members need to first check with an education counselor for the specifics involving TA by visiting their local installation education office or by going online to a virtual education center. Tuition assistance may be used for the following programs:
