Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Relocation Readiness Program has an active Lending Closet that loans basic household kitchen supplies to assist active duty, reserve service members, Department of Defense Civilians and their Family members with their transition. Lending kits are designed to assist inbound members until arrival of their own household baggage/household goods or for outbound personnel after shipment of goods prior to departure. Upon verification of orders, standardized kits are issued out for a family size of four up to a maximum of 90 days. A typical kit includes dishes, silverware, glasses, basic cookware, mixing bowls, a baking pan and utensils needed to cook.
Personnel must present a current identification card and a copy of the sponsor's orders. Lending Closet items shall be issued for a period of 30 days and extensions shall be granted up to a maximum of 90 days if household goods/baggage are not yet available. For periods longer than 90 days total, verification of proposed arrival date from the Transportation Office is required and exceptions are authorized by the Relocation Readiness Program Manager. In the event of lost or damaged Lending Closet items, the client will be required to replace the item with an equivalent new item in accordance with the Hold Harmless Agreement included in the checkout process..
