Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Moore Child Development Center, provides child care programs for children from six weeks through five years of age. Full day preschool programs are available. Family Child Care (FCC) is a professionally managed network of individuals providing child care in their government quarters. Phone: 717-245-3701.
The Moore Child Development Center, located in Building 455, provides child care programs for children from six weeks through five years of age. The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and is DoD certified. All programs are designed to meet the social, emotional, and developmental needs of all children, regardless of the length of time they spend in the Center. A reasonable balance between active play and quiet activities is pursued as is a balance between indoor and outdoor activities. A food service program, under the auspices of USDA, provides balanced meals/snacks for all children in care.

Costs
Fees are determined according to total family income and are based on a sliding scale.
