The McConnell Youth Center has state-of-the-art youth technology lab. Contact CYS registration office to sign up for different activities, Before and After School Care, Middle School Teen Program, Youth Sports/Fitness Center, to include outdoor activities and much more.
Carlisle Barracks, Child, Youth & Youth Services (CYS) is located at 459 Bouquet Road. Services offered to Active Duty Military Personnel, Retired Military Personnel (SAC and MST only) and Department of the Army Civilians.
Parent Central Services (PCS)
PCS offers one-stop registration for all CYS activities including: Moore Child Development Center; McConnell School Age Center (Before & After School; Summer Camp); McConnell Middle School & Teen Program; Youth Sports & Fitness Program; Letterkenny Army Depot Child Development Center. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. CYS paperwork for program registration should be requested and completed prior to calling to make an appointment. Any children with special needs will require additional paperwork.
Membership in Child & Youth Services is offered to all youth between the ages of 8 weeks and 18 years of age who are family members of active duty or civilian employees. Membership is required for all Child, Youth & School Services Programs to include Open Recreation, and Dodge Ball.
School Age Care (SAC)
Child & Youth Services sponsors School-Age Services for youth ages 6-12, in grades kindergarten-fifth grade. SAC accepts children of military (active duty and retired) and civilian personnel working at Carlisle Barracks. Five-day, three-day or afternoon-only programs are offered during the school year. A full-day program is offered during the summer months. Hourly care is provided throughout the year on a space-available basis. The program is designed to meet the social, emotional, and developmental needs of all children enrolled. Charges for care vary according to income.
Middle School & Teen Program (MST)
YS sponsors a variety of programs offering youth opportunities in life skills, citizenship and leadership; sports and fitness; leisure, recreation and arts; and mentoring, intervention and support services.
Youth Sports & Fitness Program (YSF)
YSF offers game based, developmental and instructional, fitness and health programming and much more! Programs include Soccer and NFL Flag Football and Basketball leagues, Baseball and Golf Instructional programs, and free-outreach programs like dodgeball, kickball and volleyball to the Carlisle Barracks Community. YSF partners with many community organizations to include local soccer clubs and home school programs in conjunction with our youth sports leagues. Annual CYS registration and sports physicals are required to participate in all Child and Youth Services (CYS) Youth Sports & Fitness Programs. School physicals do not substitute as a Sports Physicals, however a Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Physical is a valid replacement to the CYS HASP in clearing children for participation in YSF programs. Parents should ensure that their annual CYS Registration and Sports Physical is completed prior to enrollment and participation in a YSF program.
School Support Services (SSS)
SSS offers transition assistance to families with school-age children (K-12th); deployment support; command, school and community communication; home school linkage and CYS support; and manages the Partners in Education (PIE) Program.
