All newly assigned personnel must report to the Housing Office, where current information on the availability of quarters and off-post housing may be obtained, upon arrival, as instructed in your permanent change of station orders. The Housing Office can also answer any questions concerning family quarters.

Carlisle Barracks has government housing for 321 families. Quarters range in style from multi-unit apartment complexes to single-unit homes.
Application and Eligibility
Quarters are assigned to permanent party personnel when the military sponsor is physically present and has signed in for duty at the Carlisle Barracks. War College students receive designated quarters prior to their arrival based on the student-billeting plan for their class.

Housing Referral Office
Your point of contact for any problems you may encounter (discrimination complaints, tenant-landlord disputes or any questions or problems about off-post housing) is the Housing Referral Office. Staff members are available to assist you on a one-to-one basis, in any way possible, to make your move to this installation an easy and pleasant one. They can provide a list of rentals with corresponding locator maps and give you information regarding the area in which the facilities are located. For information, call 717-245-4357.
