Legal Assistance for Department of Defense Civilian Employees:
Handling legal issues can be stressful, but help is available. The Defense Logistics Agency McNamara offers help for legal issues through the Employee Assistance Program. Talk to an expert for free, or go online to access tools, education and resources.
The DLA EAP provides highly trained specialists to answer questions and provide resources and referral information through a free initial consultation with licensed, practicing attorneys. The EAP provides assistance with a wide range of legal issues such as divorce, living will preparation and health care powers of attorney. Specialists are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Legal Assistance for DLA McNamara Headquarters Complex Military Members:
The Fort Belvoir staff judge advocate provides legal services to active-duty members of all services, retirees, National Guard and reserve personnel on active duty for 30 days or more, and family members who are in possession of a uniformed services military identification card.
Types of Services:
Legal assistance includes counseling, negotiation and preparation of legal documents such as powers of attorney, living wills, will and estate planning and notary public services.
