When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
The 24-hour arrival point at Goodfellow Air Force Base is the San Angelo Inn, Building 3305. The San Angelo Inn staff can assist with contacting your sponsor and/or obtaining general information about the base. If arriving during duty hours, report to your unit's Commander's Support Staff for further instructions. Air Force Personnel
Air Force permanent party personnel, prior service students, re-trainees and officer students reporting during normal duty hours Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., should report or contact their new unit’s Commander Support Staff for in-processing instructions. When arriving after normal duty hours, report to the San Angelo Inn for lodging. Contact your sponsor and report to your new unit the next duty day.
Air Force Finance is located in Building 430 on the first floor. Our hours are:
PCS In-Processing with Finance will be held every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m. Please bring in a copy of PCS orders and any receipts so that a travel voucher can be filed. Marine Corp Detachment
Permanent party Marine Corps personnel will report to the HQ Marine Corps Detachment, Building 3227. If reporting after normal duty hours, contact the Staff Duty Officer at 325-654-4186 or 325-2121-8189 cell.
Army Personnel
Cadre, IET students and prior service students reporting to the 344th Military Intelligence Battalion who arrive during the duty day (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) will report to Buidling 409 at 340 Fort Lancaster Ave. in ACUs. Students will report to the first floor and cadre to the second floor. If soldiers arrive after duty hours, they will report to staff duty at Building 251, Fort Lancaster Ave. near the base chapel. Staff Duty may be contacted at 325-654-5295.
Soldiers reporting to Delta Company 169th Engineer Battalion for firefighting school will contact 573-855-9672 for reporting instructions.

Navy Personnel
When arriving at the Information Warfare Training Center Monterey Detachment Goodfellow Air Force Base during off-duty hours and holidays, staff and student personnel must contact the Navy command duty officer at 325-656-8760.
During normal working hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the check-in area will be Navy Military Support Building 420, phone number: 325-656-8760. In-processing must be completed for all personnel during their first three days of reporting onboard. Indoctrination will be held as necessary on Mondays at 8 a.m. in Building 420. Check in with seasonal service dress uniform.
For permanent party personnel, please ensure that you have contacted your sponsor prior to departure from your last command. Your sponsor is there to ensure your arrival to IWTC Monterey Detachment Goodfellow goes smoothly.
Coast Guard Personnel
When arriving at the Information Warfare Training Center Monterey Detachment Goodfellow Air Force Base during off-duty hours and holidays, staff and student personnel must contact the U.S. Coast Guard Liaison at 202-450-9829.
During normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the check-in area will be Navy Military Support, Building 420, phone number: 325-656-8760. In-processing must be completed for all personnel during their first business day of reporting onboard. Indoctrination will be held as necessary on Mondays at 8 a.m. in Building 420. Check-in will be in operation dress uniform.
For permanent party personnel, please ensure that you have contacted your sponsor prior to departure from your last command. Your sponsor is there to ensure your arrival to IWTC Monterey Detachment Goodfellow is a smooth evolution.
Contact your sponsor upon your arrival. Contact the Traffic Management Office if you shipped household goods or a vehicle. If any of your household goods were damaged or lost in transit, you must inform the Legal Claims office within 70 days of delivery. Use the DD Form 1840 and 1840 R to file your report.
File travel vouchers during base in-processing at the Finance Office. Members who used the Government Travel Card should be prepared to provide the total dollar amount charged on the card, as they will receive a split disbursement.
The Military Housing Office can assist you with information regarding Privatized Housing and housing in the local community. Unaccompanied, Permanent Party, E-4 and below with less than three years of service are required to reside in Unaccompanied Housing (dorms). Please contact our office for more information.
Newcomer's Orientation for permanent party only is held at the Military & Family Readiness Center every third Wednesday, from 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Your unit Commander Support Staff will sign you up for the Newcomer's Orientation. This is mandatory for all arriving permanent party Air Force members. Sister services and Department of War civilians are invited. Spouses are highly encouraged to attend.

Visit the Military and Family Readiness Center for maps and newcomer information, employment assistance, volunteer information, EFMP support resources, budget assistance, financial classes, Bundles for Babies classes, deployment support, TAP, voting information and VA resources and to meet your school liaison.
Loan Locker items are available in 30-day increments.
Concurrent Travel
For students in training status, check with Military Personnel Flight, Traffic Management Office, Housing Office and unit Command Support Staff for information and requirements regarding relocation of dependents to Goodfellow Air Force Base. It is important to make temporary lodging reservations early.

Make sure to keep all receipts — food, gas, lodging, pet expenses, etc. — while in transit. Some receipts may be needed when you file your travel voucher upon your arrival. Some receipts may be needed when you file your taxes next year.
Travel and Relocation Entitlements
Members may contact the Finance Office and/or Traffic Management Office to determine entitlements based on their exact situation. Air Force Permanent Party Personnel

Students of All Branches of Service, Including Re-trainees
You will not be assigned a sponsor. Visit Students (af.mil) for in-processing information.
