Contact information for key programs and services at this installation.
Health care services provided by the War Department are available to you and your family at your installation. We know that finding the right health care is important, especially in special circumstances such as emergency or during recent move. Here, you’ll find information and options about the services you have regarding healthcare.
Medical Services
The 17th Medical Group provides primary care to TRICARE-enrolled patients at the medical group. The Medical Group is comprised of: Family Health, Dental Services, Public Health, Student Clinic, Flight Medicine, Physical Therapy, Bioengineering, and Mental Health.
The central appointment line is 325-654-3149
The 17th Medical Group does not provide emergency medical care on-base. Emergency Medical care is provided of-base by Shannon Medical Center.
When you move, TRICARE moves with you. No matter where you go in the world, TRICARE is there before, during and when you get to your next duty station.
There are steps you need to take to make sure changes to your TRICARE coverage go smoothly. Understand that when you move, you may have to use a different TRICARE option. Visit TRICARE Moving to learn more.
Before you move, you should take care of any routine medical needs, including immunizations, and fill your prescriptions so you have enough while traveling. If you need care during your move, visit TRICARE Getting Care When Traveling to learn what to do.
Filling prescriptions while traveling
You should refill prescriptions before traveling. But if you run out of a prescription drug while traveling, visit TRICARE Filling Prescriptions When Traveling.
Getting dental care while traveling
Getting dental care while traveling depends on your location and whether you are a service member or family member.
Medical Care
The primary mission of the Goodfellow Clinic (17th Medical Group) is to provide healthcare to active-duty personnel and ensure they are ready for wartime deployments. Active-duty members are the first priority of medical services. They are entitled to receive complete treatment.
TRICARE Prime enrollees are the second priority. All other beneficiaries will be treated on a space available basis.
The clinic is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.. To schedule an appointment, call 325-654-3149.
The clinic is an ambulatory care facility and does not have an emergency room. Life-threatening conditions are stabilized for transport to local hospitals.
Urgent Care:
Urgent care services treat non-life-threatening health issues that require immediate attention, such as sprains, the flu, colds and other common illnesses.
If you’re unsure about whether you need urgent care, contact the Military Health System Nurse Advice Line to speak to a registered nurse or dial 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273).
Active-duty personnel must acquire a referral before visiting an urgent care. All other beneficiaries may visit an urgent care without a referral.
Urgent Care Facilities
Hours: 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Emergency Care Facilities
TRICARE enrollees who are enrolled in another area must call the region in which they are enrolled for authorizations outside of their region.
Dental Care
The Dental Clinic serves the active-duty population. Eligible family members are referred off base. There are many dentists who accept the TRICARE Family Member Dental Plan; a list is available from the Dental Clinic.
