Installation Voting Assistance Office

The Installation Voting Assistance Office is here to help you exercise and protect your right to vote! We can help you register to vote, request an absentee ballot and notify your local election officials back home of a change of address. Please contact the IVAO at:

Federal Voting Assistance Program

The Federal Voting Assistance Program, or FVAP, ensures service members, their eligible family members and overseas citizens have the tools and resources to register to vote and request an absentee ballot, regardless of their state of residence.

The FVAP website includes the Voting Assistance Guide, a reference guide for everything you need to know about absentee voting in all 50 states, the U.S. territories and the District of Columbia. Select your state to find your local election office’s contact information. Additionally, voting forms are available on the FVAP website.

Important Reminder

If you have recently moved or your mailing address has changed, please submit a Federal Post Card Application to update your voter registration information and request an absentee ballot.

  • Provides state-specific voting information, election resources, and links to federal, state and local election offices.
• Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot
  • May be used as a backup ballot to vote for federal offices. Voters who have not received their requested absentee ballot 30 days before the election should complete and submit the FWAB so that it arrives NLT 15 days before the election.
• National Mail Voter Registration Form
  • Voters living in their voting district may register to vote and update information with the local voter registration office (e.g., report address change).
• Translated Voting Materials
  • If you need voting materials in a language other than English, the Federal Voting Assistance Program provides translated versions of the Federal Post Card Application, Federal Post Card Application and other key voter assistance documents to support voters in registering and casting their ballots from where you’re located.
