When you arrive at your new installation, you’ll need to follow installation-specific procedures. Each installation and service handles in-processing differently. Here, you can find installation-specific guidelines and a list of documents to bring with you when checking- in. Reach out to the contacts provided if you have specific questions.
Sponsors sometimes experience difficulty when contacting inbound personnel from Technical Schools. If you have not heard from your sponsor, we recommend that you become proactive in seeking your sponsor and assistance. If you have your sponsor's name, try locating their official e-mail via the Air Force Global Address on an Air Force military network.
Be sure to inform your sponsor of your arrival status. Almost everyone will come in after hours because of the time difference in the States. If you are unable to contact your sponsor or Command, please contact the Military & Family Readiness Center. Explain your situation and the M&FRC staff will contact your Command. Coordinate with your sponsor or your sponsoring unit to ensure you are following the current health guidelines.
Stop by the Andersen Military and Family Readiness Center at your earliest convenience. We can provide you assistance and information to alleviate some of the stressors associated with relocating. The M&FRC is located in the Consolidated Support Center, Building 22026, Room 131 or more commonly known as "the building next to the commissary."
The Loan Locker is available to ease your relocation. While you are waiting for your household goods to arrive, you may check out items from the Loan Locker by appointment only, appointments are between the hours of 1300-1600 Monday to Friday. The Loan Locker has dishes, pots and pans, and other basic kitchen items. For eligible service members with Permanent change of station childcare expenses, Air & Space Forces Aid Society will provide $200 per dependent child up to age 12, not to exceed $1,000 per family. PCS childcare needs to be utilized within the first 60 days of arrival or departure. Please apply for the Childcare for PCS Program on afas.org. Some restrictions may apply. If you get married while en route to your next duty station, you must ensure your new spouse is added to DEERS as soon as possible. Inform your Commander's Support Staff immediately to ensure your needs are addressed. Amendments to your orders must be requested via the nearest Air Force installation. If you arrive on Guam without your new spouse on your orders, plan on paying out-of-pocket expenses until your gaining command approves command sponsored. Plan ahead to ensure a smooth transition into your new duty station.
