If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
The Air Force Aid Society will assist on most financial emergencies on a case-by-case basis. The loan (if approved) is an interest-free loan and in some cases, may be approved as a grant. Stop by your Airman and Family Readiness Center for more information. The Air Force Aid Society Office is co-located in the A&FRC. The Air Force Aid Society is ready to assist you in the event of an emergency.
If you experience an in-transit emergency please notify the Military Personnel Section at DSN 315-366-2276 or contact your sponsor and or Gaining Command. In the event of a family emergency such as death or illness of an immediate family member contact the Red Cross at 877-272-7337 or online at redcross.org/HeroCareNetwork 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The Red Cross Chapter Guam is located in downtown Hagatna. To get to the Red Cross office from Andersen take Route 1 south approximately 20 to 25 miles and go East on Route 4. The Red Cross office number is 671-472-6217/9 and is located by the Judiciary of Guam building.
