Youth Services

The Redstone Arsenal Youth Center is located in Building 3148 on Youth Center Road and can be reached by calling 256-876-5437.

Various programs are offered through the youth center, including:

• After School Program -- The Youth Center is open for youth after school Monday through Friday from 1 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. On school days, an afternoon snack is offered along with special activities. The Computer Lab and Homework Lab are available with instructors to assist the youth. 
• Summer Camp Program -- A summer camp program is offered through the youth center for youth in grades 6 - 12. Hours of operation during camp are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. There is a weekly fee for the camp which includes breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack and field trips. 
• Social Events -- Social Events are offered throughout the year. They are generally offered at no cost. Events are planned for different age groups, and some are family events. Programs include dances, lock-ins, holiday parties, trips to museums and sporting events.

To request a youth sponsor or to volunteer as a youth sponsor at Redstone Arsenal, contact the CYS School Liaison Officer at at 256-842-9642 or contact the CYS Parent Central Services at 256-876-3704, Bldg 3443, Pershing Welcome and Community Center. 

Seasonal team sports leagues are offered for children 5 - 18 years of age. Fees for team sports vary depending on the sport. Participation is open to the public.

Future Stars is a developmental league for ages 3 and 4. Sports may vary depending on the season.

Eligible users are children age 6 weeks through 12th grade who are family members of:

• Active Duty & Retired Military
• DOD/DA Civilian Employees
• Contractors working on Redstone
• Federal Employees (NASA, FBI)
