Housing options are available to your unique situation including: housing for families, single service members, families that are enrolled in the exceptional family member program, pet owners and unaccompanied personnel. Redstone Arsenal has privatized government housing which includes ten general officer quarters and 352 family housing units for officers and enlisted personnel. Family housing units include central heating and air conditioning, dishwashers, ranges and refrigerators. Some units have garages. The one- and two-story facilities range from single to multi-plexed units. All permanent parties accompanied by their families and assigned within the commuting area of Redstone Arsenal are eligible for family housing. Military on orders to Redstone have priority on housing. Retirees, Department of Defense civilians, government contractors and military families not assigned to Redstone can acquire housing on a space-available basis.
All new arrivals must check with the Housing Service Office prior to making housing arrangements. Pets are allowed in quarters but must be in the control of the owners at all times. You can register for the waiting list as soon as you have orders.
Apartments are available in a wide price range around the installation. We recommend that you physically visit the apartment before entering a lease agreement since not all apartments are located in desirable neighborhoods. Exceptional Family Member Housing
Efforts are made to accommodate exceptional family members to include ramps, bathroom access and more.
