Redstone Arsenal has one main commissary and one post exchange located on Acton Drive. There is a food court located at the Post Exchange. The JAVA Cafe is located inside the Pershing Welcome Center at 3467 Aerobee Rd.
Several shops exist in various tenant organizations.
NASA hosts a food coral during lunch hours available to all who have access to post on Martin Road across from Building 4488.
Two Class VI shops are available; one on Goss and one on Martin Rd.
Army Community Service is located in Building 3443 Aerobee Road, and can be reached by calling 256-876-5397.
The Family Advocacy Program assists soldiers and their families by providing quality family enrichment services and support. Services include family readiness classes (including the virtual Thriving Families monthly series), New Parent Support Program, stress management training, Master Resiliency Training, and Domestic Abuse Victim Advocacy.
The NPSP serves military families by providing parenting information, support, and home visits to expectant parents and parents with children ages 3 and younger. A play morning group is held Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the ChildWise Building located at 3467 Vincent Drive – for families with children ages 0-5. Children must be accompanied by their caregiver while in attendance. Childwise is open to eligible families with access to Redstone.
A DAVA is a trained, non-clinical professional who: offers crisis intervention and safety planning for victims of domestic abuse, helps victims file restricted or unrestricted reports to law enforcement or commanders, assists with protective orders, medical treatment, and legal rights information, and coordinates emergency services such as transportation, housing, and food. A DAVA is available 24/7 at 256-508-6613.
Financial Readiness Program offers financial counseling, debt management, credit report analysis and free credit scores for clients. Financial workshops and counseling are provided by a certified financial program manager. A variety of classes are offered virtually, and a podcast with recorded sessions is available online.
Army Emergency Relief provides emergency financial assistance in the form of interest-free loans or grants to active-duty soldiers, military retirees, military survivors and their families when there is an emergency need. Apply for assistance by visiting www.armyemergencyrelief.org and select “Apply for Assistance” in the upper right hand corner. If you have any questions or require portal assistance for Emergency Travel during non-business hours, on weekends, or holidays, please send an email to soldierportalhelp@aerhq.org and the After-Hours HQ AER Caseworker will respond. The Army Survivor Outreach Services program provides long-term, personalized support to families of fallen soldiers, ensuring access to benefits, counseling, and community resources. Redstone provides case management services for SOS families, connecting them to relevant resources.
The Exceptional Family Member Program is managed by EFMP Clinical at the Fox Army Health Clinic on Redstone Arsenal. EFMP provides on/off post community special needs resources and referrals, including the Department of the Army EFMP Respite Care Program.
