With certain military moves, you may find yourself looking for housing that’s a little less permanent before making long-term arrangements. There are several temporary housing options that may be right for you. Explore the information about temporary housing facilities including allowances, lodging rates and eligibility.
During the peak transition months of May through September, the wait for on-post housing can be prolonged. Soldiers who are awaiting housing on West Point may obtain temporary quarters at either the IHG Army Hotel or in one of the many local motels and hotels. It is highly recommended that soldiers wishing to stay at the IHG Army Hotel call up to 90 days in advance to make reservations. Soldiers can only make reservations for a 30-day stay at the IHG Army Hotel; however, extensions may be possible. Contact the IHG Army Hotel at 845-938-6816 for more information regarding temporary housing. Pets are welcome. A flat-rate, nonrefundable pet fee of $75 is charged for the first five nights of your stay; a nightly fee of $7 is charged beginning on the sixth night. There is an 80-pound maximum weight limit per pet. A pet agreement must be signed at check in. Contact the hotel directly for further details regarding the West Point IHG Army Hotel pet policy.
The West Point Army Lodging Facility amenities include high-speed internet access, shuttle services on post, guest laundry, a hearty continental breakfast and DVD movie rentals. Every suite features a kitchenette with a range top and oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, iron, ironing board and cooking and eating utensils.
All guests with domestic animals staying at the hotel must have a valid credit card on file at the front desk. A Pet Agreement must be filled out and signed upon check-in. Proper medical documentation of each pet and up-to-date vaccination records must be kept on hand and made available If requested by hotel staff. Charges: $75.00 non-refundable charge “per pet” will be charged to your credit/debit card upon arrival. There will be an additional non-refundable fee of $10.00/night per pet that will start on the 8th night of your stay. Note: If extensive cleaning and repair is necessary beyond the normal deep cleaning process, the guest will be charged additional fees. Guests must immediately- within 24 hours report any damages found upon check -in so that management can address & document, so you are not held accountable upon check- out.

Accommodations range from one room with one bed to two rooms with three beds. Room rates vary based on room type. Whenever making reservations, let the hotel know you are on military temporary duty travel or permanent change of station orders in order to enjoy the highly discounted room rates. Guests must present their orders at check-in. The service member is responsible for paying the IHG Army Hotels - West Point bill from his/her own pay and allowances.
