Single Service Member Housing
Single Soldiers E5 and below are mandatorily assigned to barracks. For any information concerning Unaccompanied Housing please call 915-568-4005/4729.
Unaccompanied Housing: Soldiers who obtained a Certificate of Non-Availability to live off-post at their previous duty station may not qualify for a CNA at Fort Bliss. Fort Bliss uses a 95% occupancy Installation-wide to determine if a CNA is to be issued. Soldiers E5 and below, married to another SM on separate tours w/o family members, are required to reside in the barracks, BAH will not be authorized unless the other SM will arrive within 120 days (AR 420-1 Chap 3-18). Do not enter into a lease or binding contract without seeing a UH representative. The Garrison Commander is the only authority for CNA approval/disapproval and Exception to Policy(s).
There are no geographical bachelor quarters available on post.
All E-6 and above are authorized to reside off-post and receive BAH at the without dependent rate.

Special Installation Messages
DSN provides long-distance communications service for the Department of Defense. Every installation has a special DSN number and the numbers vary by worldwide location. In order to place a call using DSN, the caller must be using a military phone on an installation. Cell phones cannot dial DSN numbers. When dialing a DSN number from a United States installation to another United States installation, it is unnecessary to dial the DSN 312 area code. When dialing a DSN number to/from overseas locations, the DSN area code must be included. Please note that long-distance charges may be incurred.

Service members are required to report to the Housing Services Office at their existing and new duty stations before making arrangements to rent, lease, or purchase off-post housing. Service members are further advised not to send monetary deposits for housing prior to contacting the HSO.
The Fort Bliss HSO understands the stress associated with relocating. Our team of professionals creates a warm welcome and soft landing for arriving/departing customers. Permissive Temporary Duty Travel
In order to receive the PTDY, commanders of units normally commanded by officers in the rank of lieutenant colonel or higher are authorized to approve PTDY. The Soldier requesting the PTDY validation must be physically present at the gaining installation during the PTDY period. Since Fort Bliss housing is privatized, a verification of housing status at the gaining command is not required. If a Soldier is authorized to take PTDY for house hunting after arriving at the gaining station, no housing stamp is required.
