Must Know Information
Service members are required to report to the Housing Services Office at their existing and new duty stations before making arrangements to rent, lease, or purchase off-post housing. Service members are further advised not to send monetary deposits for housing prior to contacting the HSO.
The Fort Bliss HSO understands the stress associated with relocating. Our team of professionals creates a warm welcome and soft landing for arriving/departing customers. Please stop by the HSO and let our trained staff assist you and your family with your housing needs. The HSO is located at Building T-0070 Carter Rd Corner of Pleasonton Rd and Carter Rd. Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 1 to 4 p.m. Closed every third Thursday of the month from 12 to 4 p.m. Call 915-568-2898 commercial, or DSN 314-978-2653/2898.

Permissive Temporary Duty Travel
In order to receive the PTDY, commanders of units normally commanded by officers in the rank of lieutenant colonel or higher are authorized to approve PTDY. The Soldier requesting the PTDY validation must be physically present at the gaining installation during the PTDY period. Since Fort Bliss housing is privatized, a verification of housing status at the gaining command is not required. If a Soldier is authorized to take PTDY for house hunting after arriving at the gaining station, no housing stamp is required.
