Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
Mobilization Deployment (Mob Dep) Sustainment and Support Readiness Mission
We assist the commander in preparing Soldiers and their families for the entire Deployment Cycle of Readiness. We provide AD, USAR, and NG units (Soldiers, Spouses, Volunteers, Family Readiness Liaisons (FRLs), Family Readiness Groups (FRGs), and Family members) with training on the Army Family Readiness Group System to prepare them for the complete cycle of pre-deployment, deployment, and redeployment in accordance with AR 608-1, Appendix J, DA DCS Directive dated 21 May 2012, and Department of the Army Personnel Policy Guidance (DA PPG) for Overseas Contingency Operations dated 29 Mar 2011.
We conduct mandatory training during the entire Deployment Cycle which includes Casualty Response (CARE) Team, FRG System (FRG Leader, Key Contact, and Informal Fund Custodian), AR 600-20, Rear Detachment Commander (RDC) Operations, Reintegration (RIT), and Homecoming and Reunion.
We provide referral assistance to Soldiers and Family members experiencing problems during the entire Deployment Cycle.
We provide mission support and training to the FRSLs in the USAR/NG units and the Active Duty units. MOB DEP conducts Emergency Family Assistance Center EFAC) operations on order of the Senior Mission Commander or the Garrison Commander.
