Fort Buchanan Child and Youth Services (CYS) first point of contact for all new patrons should be the Parent Central Services office located at 136 Constitution Ave.
Eligibility
All active duty Military personnel, DoD personnel and Non DoD personnel entitled to use Child & Youth Services (CYS).
Hours of Operation -- 7:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and they may be reached by calling 787-707-3787, or DSN 740-3787. (Emergencies are taken on a case by case basis). There is no annual registration fee.

Special Needs Accommodation
Children/youth with special needs will be enrolled in CYS Services on a case-by-case basis after the Special Needs Accommodation Team (SNAP) has met to determine the best placement for the child/youth.
Fort Buchanan Child Development Center (CDC) offers full-day care for children 6 weeks to 4 years old. Hourly service is available. For information, call: Parent Central Services - 787-707-3787/3434.
The Fort Buchanan Child Development Center (CDC) is located at Building 1110, Coconut Grove, Patriot Blvd, and can be reached by calling 787-707-3468/3769.
The CDC offers Full Day and Hourly care for children, in a rich and stimulating environment where children can develop motor, cognitive, and social-emotional skills through a balance of exploration and planned curriculum. Learning activities are designed based on teaching strategies Creative Curriculum to support the natural development of children and include individual, small, and large group experiences.
CDC hours of operation are from Monday through Friday from 0600 to 1800 (6:00am to 6:00pm). Closed on holidays and weekends.
The center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and fully certified by the Department of Defense regulations. Age groups range from Infants to preschool (6 weeks to 5 years).

The SAC program provides services to children in Kindergarten through fifth grade with opportunities for supervised, individual and group activities, to compliment, not repeat school experiences. SAC also provides ample opportunities for children to learn more about their interests, to develop skills, and to spend time in positive relationships with other children and adults.
SAC provides supervised activities during, before and after school hours, on school holidays, during summer, and on teacher in-service days when parents are working. Parents may choose between Regular and Hourly services. Fees are IAW Total Family Income. Located in Building 1110 Flamboyan Street and can be reached by calling 787-707-3468.
