A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Loan Closet is part of the Relocation Readiness Program (RRP). Basic household goods are available for temporary loan while a Service member and his/her family waits for the arrival of their Household Goods (HHG) shipment. Items are loaned for a period of 30 days. Extensions will be provided upon request. Stop and visit us, you are our priority. Also available are container kits with basic kitchen utensils for different family sizes (2, 4, 6 family members).

Copies of Sponsor's Orders are required. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, except Government Holidays. We are located at 225 Davis Street, Fort Buchanan. For more information call 787-707-3682/3804.
Availability of household appliances, clothing, supplies, food, etc. is like any other large city in the U.S. as most products come from the U.S. mainland. Spanish is the main language, but English is also spoken. mainly in most large department stores, restaurants, government offices, hotels, and any place that caters to tourists. On post, English is the official language. The ACS Relocation Readiness Program and the Information and Referral Program assists Soldiers and Family members by providing information regarding local community resources and by serving as a liaison between military families and local government agencies.
