If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.
Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO. These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals. Fort Campbell Army Education Center on Post College Programs
The on-post college program is provided by Austin Peay State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Murray State University, and Hopkinsville Community College. These institutions provide a variety of associate, baccalaureate and master degree level programs to military personnel, as well as military Family members, retired military personnel and civilians. Hopkinsville Community College (HCC) is a two-year regionally accredited college that prepares students for transfer and the workforce by offering certificates, diplomas, and associate-level degrees in both general and technical education. HCC Fort Campbell Campus provides comprehensive student and academic services designed around the military population, which includes admissions and academic advising, testing and tutoring services, military tuition assistance and veteran benefits support, financial aid, and student engagement opportunities. Courses are offered in a variety of flexible formats in an 8-week term which includes in-person, hybrid, and online.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is the world’s pre-eminent university for aviation and aerospace education. Regionally accredited, ERAU has been working with US military service members since 1970, helping them to earn a degree while on active duty or as veterans. They are located at more than 90 military installations around the globe. The ERAU Fort Campbell Campus offers associate, bachelor and master’s degrees, as well as undergraduate certifications that will help you in the military, after you’ve served your country, or as a civilian.
Murray State University is a regionally accredited state assisted comprehensive university with a dedicated Veteran Affairs certifying official along with an Office of Veteran and Military Student Success who assists with tuition assistance and VA education benefits, personalized advising, and counseling. MSU-Fort Campbell offers bachelor degrees in social work, logistics and supply chain management, and integrated studies. Their on-site graduate program includes MPA, and undergraduate certificates in EMT and Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
Austin Peay State University offers a variety of associate, bachelor and master degrees as well as certificate programs. APSU is regionally accredited and offers tuition discounts to all uniformed personnel and dependents. The Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell (APCFC) is designed for the military lifestyle offering classes on-post, online, and hybrid in 8-week terms. APCFC offers a fully staffed administrative office supporting academic advisement, VA and TA education benefits assistance, financial aid services and Joint Service Transcript evaluations.
