Lending Closet and How to Borrow

The Fort Campbell Army Community Service (ACS) Lending Closet offers basic household and kitchen items at no cost for 30-60 days to Soldiers and families arriving and departing Fort Campbell on permanent change of station (PCS) orders. Items available are:

• Baking dishes
• Crockpots
• Coffee cups
• Coffee pots (drip)
• Colanders
• Cookie sheets
• Cutting boards
• Dish drainer and mat
• Dishes
• Folding chairs
• Folding tables (4-by-6 feet)
• Tumblers
• Irons
• Mixing bowls
• Pitchers
• Pizza pans
• Pots and pans
• Serving platters
• Silverware
• Sleeping mats and cots
• Soup/cereal bowls
• Toasters/toaster ovens
• Utensils
• Vacuums
• Pet gates

Linens, Microwaves, Televisions, Washers, and Dryers are not provided.

How to Borrow

Military identification cards and PCS orders are required to borrow items. Items are loaned for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days. Only Soldiers and families making a PCS move inbound and outbound are entitled to borrow items from the Lending Closet. When departing Fort Campbell, individuals must return items prior to clearing Fort Campbell. Items cannot be issued to those individuals who have already cleared ACS or retiring from Fort Campbell.

To borrow items, you must call the ACS Relocation Readiness Program to schedule an appointment, and have a copy of your PCS orders and military ID card. Lending Closet hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday- Friday from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. We are closed weekends and federal holidays. Lending Closet hours of operation are  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Tuesday from 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The Lending Closet is closed weekends and federal holidays. All items must be thoroughly cleaned with hot water and dish detergent and table, chairs must be cleaned and wiped down with Clorox wipes. Please contact 270-798-6313 or email ftckyacsrelocation@army.mil to schedule an appointment to pick up/return items.

ACS cannot accept donations of household good items. The Fort Campbell Armed Services YMCA located at 2304 Indiana Avenue, can accept donations of household goods items. Contact the Armed Services YMCA Food Pantry & Thrift Store at 270-956-1566. The Thrift Store is open to all active duty and veteran service members for shopping.  The Food Pantry is currently only available to Junior Enlisted members, but accessible on a need’s basis for other military families.  Hours of operation for Shopping are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations are accepted Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Donations of gently used items are appreciated.  Please call 270-956-1566 for questions or to arrange large donations. The Backdoor Boutique is closed federal holidays.
