Contact the Langley Airman and Family Readiness Center or the Fort Eustis Army Community Service for employment assistance regarding job opportunities on the installation and in the local community,. The A&FRC and ACS provide resume assistance, employment resources, internet access and resource libraries. Classes are provided to assist with resumes and the federal job search. Individual appointments are available to assess needs, develop strategies and provide resources and referrals.
Visit the following websites for employment opportunities on the installation: USAJOBS website (for federal civil service and non-appropriated fund jobs), Army Air Force Exchange Service and the Commissary.
Military spouses should be sure to ask about spouse preference for federal positions.
For information on the local job market, unemployment rates and job search resources, you can access the Virginia Employment Commission. It is an outstanding local resource.
