Relocation assistance can provide support if you’re preparing to move or PCS. The programs and services defined below are provided by the Military and Family Support Center. In addition to the assistance program, a variety of other services may be available. Check the additional information topic to see what unique installation services are available to you.
If you are approaching a permanent change of station, or PCS, you may have questions about your upcoming move. As part of the Military and Family Support Center, the relocation assistance program provides services and resources to help make this transition as smooth as possible. Below is a list of resources.

Installation Specific Information
The JBLE Airman and Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) is the focal point for relocation assistance on Langley. Our goal is to provide accurate information and assistance to help all military personnel and their families make a smooth transition from one location to another. Be sure to make the A&FRC one of your first stops when you arrive. The JBLE A&FRC is located at 45 Nealy Ave, in Bldg.15 (Mission Support Group Building), Wing B, Suite 100. Langley conducts a comprehensive Newcomer briefing, generally every other Tuesday. Please verify at your organization Command Support Staff (CSS) or "Orderly Room." (An appointment memorandum and area map will be provided). Newcomer Orientation is held at the Bayview Commonwealth Center from 0730-1200. The Bayview Commonwealth Center is located at 350 Clark Avenue, Hampton, Va. 23665. Attendees are provided an introduction to JBLE and the surrounding area. Spouse attendance is highly encouraged. Childcare is not provided on site.
Langley offers "Child Care for PCS" sponsored by the Air Force Aid Society. The intention is to help relieve some of the stress felt by families in the process of a PCS move. The Air Force Aid Society will pay up to 20 hours of child care per child in certified Family Child Care homes on base. Families with PCS orders are eligible to receive a certificate from the Langley A&FRC for use within 60 days of arrival/departure. A list of licensed care providers is available from the base FCC Coordinator, A&FRC and is also listed on the 633 FSS Homepage. Newcomer’s Orientation: Offered twice a month, providing in-bound Soldiers, Family Members and new DoD Civilians an opportunity to receive the latest and greatest information to assist with in-processing and settling into Fort Eustis. This orientation also features an information fair, featuring those agencies (Child and Youth, School Liaison Officer, Chaplain, Family Advocacy, TRICARE) critical for new Soldiers and families. Currently, Langley does not have a loan locker. Fort Eustis operates the Loan Locker; call them at 757-878-3638.
If your spouse will be looking for work once you get settled in, have him/her visit the A&FRC for employment assistance. The A&FRC can provide employment resources, financial education, resources on family care issues, deployment concerns and much more. We have a great resource center full of resources that can be checked out. You are welcome to use our computers for job search, checking email, etc.
Home Buying and Home Selling Seminars are available on Langley AFB and Ft. Eustis. You will hear from local speakers from our community to discuss the real estate market, credit pre-qualification and mortgages, legal transactions, and home inspections.
