Loan Closet Overview

A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good.  This  program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation. 

Subtopics

A Loan Closet is no longer available on Langley Air Force Base. The Loan Closet is operated as part of Army Community Service on Fort Eustis. The Loan Closet provides household items for temporary use while waiting for your inbound shipment or after your household goods have been shipped to the next duty location.  

Items available in the Loan Closet:  

  • Dish kits that include: pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, glasses, mixing bowls and other items.  
  • Coffee pots
  • Toasters
  • Irons and ironing boards
  • Microwaves
  • Sleeping mats

The Loan Closet is available for permanent party active-duty military members and their dependents stationed or attached to Joint Base Langley-Eustis.  Please call ACS at 757-378-3638 to check availability and to make an appointment.
