Child Care Overview

Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12.  Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes.  Please review the information to find out what programs and services are available at this installation.  Please contact the Child and Youth Program point of contact at this installation if you require information, assistance or resources for child care in your local community.

The Child Care for PCS Program is available for families when you are within 60 days of your PCS departure or arrival at this base. Twenty (20) hours of child care will be provided in licensed Family Child Care homes on base and paid for by the Air Force Aid Society. Please contact the Airman & Family Readiness Center's front desk to obtain a certificate of eligibility and further details on this program.

At this time, there are several licensed providers. If you are interested in obtaining a list of providers, contact the FCC office at 719-556-4322.  You may also contact if interested in becoming a licensed provider. Because of COVID-19, please contact FCC for updates.

The Youth Center on base offers a Before and After School Care and a Summer Camp Program. Both programs provide care on a weekly basis. Fees are based on your Total Family Income (TFI) and there are 13 fee categories. During the school year you can choose Before Only, After Only or Before and after Only care to best fit your family needs.  The Youth Center also Open Rec program for children 9 - 18 and a sports program.  Please call or stop in for required documents.
