College/Technical Training Overview

If you’ve ever considered taking your education a step further, you should look to your installation for more information and assistance. They can help you decide if receiving an advanced degree is right for you, tell you which local colleges and classes are offered and find out if you’re eligible for tuition assistance. The Voluntary Education Center, or Installation Education Center, is available to help you put together a plan to advance your education.

Military spouses can also choose to engage with an education and career coach through the DoD’s Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program, or SECO.  These coaches can assist them in exploring multiple tools, resources and information to reach their educational goals.  To contact a career coach call 800-342-9647 or visit https://myseco.militaryonesource.mil.

The Peterson education center is the POC for continuing education. They have multiple contacts within the local community for college degrees. A variety of classes are offered on-base. The office also provides testing services for Professional Military Education, FAA, CDC, and Defense Language testing, as well as college level testing programs offered through the National Test Center at Peterson. Additional services include information on Tuition Assistance, general education counseling, and the post 9/11 GI Bill®. Please contact them or stop by to get exact class schedules/times, as well as more information.

Please contact the Education Center for more information as well as how to apply/criteria.  Tuition assistance can also be provided for K-12 school age children.  Contact the Youth Center and Airman & Family Readiness Centers for assistance in paying for and connecting with K-12 tuition options.
