Deployment can be a challenging phase of the military lifecycle, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to go through it alone. The military provides a variety of resources and support programs — ranging from educational briefings to morale calls — for your loved ones, children and service members to ease the stress of deployment. Military members may be assigned to a specific installation but support may come from local communities, Yellow Ribbon events or the installation itself.
The Military & Family Readiness Center offers a variety of programs and services that help alleviate stresses caused by family separation. These programs include monthly Deployed Family Dinners, Pre-Deployment Briefs, and Welcome Home Briefs.
Remote/Unaccompanied Tour Readiness Briefs are offered every Monday 1 p.m. and Welcome Home Briefs are available at 10 a.m. on Mondays. Call 719-556-6141 to sign up. The Readiness Briefing is required for all Service Members who are deploying, going on a remote assignment, or who will be temporary duty travel for greater than 31 days. Spouses are strongly encouraged to attend the Readiness Brief.
