Peterson Space Force Base’s Relocation Assistance Program provides services to help make a quick and smooth adjustment, whether you are arriving or departing from the Colorado Springs area. Assistance for incoming individuals and families includes:
Right Start is a Newcomers’ Orientation offered by the Airman and Family Readiness Center. It includes briefings from the Space Base Delta 1 Wing Commander, Base Emergency Readiness, Safety, Legal, Public Affairs and many others. An information fair allows customers to pick up items/information on an individual basis. Call 719-556-6141 for dates and to sign up. PLEASE BRING YOUR SPOUSE!
Welcome information – In addition to your sponsor's information, there are maps, magazines and local information available to assist in your settling in. Newcomer information can be obtained at the A&FRC, located in Building 350, Room 1203.
While active-duty members are required to attend Right Start and the Information Fair, spouses and civilians are encouraged to attend. Contact your unit commander’s support staff. First-term airmen will attend the first-term airman center seminar and Right Start.

Relocation Assistance
The A&FRC provides a variety of services designed to help you through your PCS move.
Child Care for PCS Program
You are entitled to 20 hours of free child care with a certified Family Child Care(FCC) provider within 60 days of arrival. Please contact the Peterson SFB A&FRC to obtain a certificate of eligibility.
Employment Assistance
Individual assistance for spouses and family members is available to help obtain employment, career and educational opportunities.
Resource Center
Computers with internet access, books, audio tapes, magazines and numerous other resources are available for your use.
Air Force Aid Society
Financial assistance in the form of interest-free loans and grants may be obtained for genuine emergencies through the Air Force Aid Society. For more information, call 719-556-6141 or DSN 312-834-6141.
