With certain military moves, you may find yourself looking for housing that’s a little less permanent before making long-term arrangements. There are several temporary housing options that may be right for you. Explore the information about temporary housing facilities including allowances, lodging rates and eligibility.
The Zama Lodge has 130 beautiful rooms situated in four separate buildings. Rates are based on room type. When making reservations, please tell us your preference, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. When guest volume limits availability, we may not be able to match your room type preference. Zama Army Lodging is a non-smoking establishment.
Each room in the Zama Army Lodging is conveniently stocked with a microwave, refrigerator, iron with board, hair dryer, telephone, television, DVD player, coffee maker and WIFIfor Internet connectivity. Each room includes some essential amenities provided for your first night's stay. A free continental breakfast is offered daily at the main building.To make reservations, call 011-81-46-407-3830, DSN 315-263-3830. A credit card number is needed to secure your reservation.
Authorized Soldiers and Official Department of Defense travelers on orders may make reservations. PCS reservations are accepted up to 90 days in advance. TDY reservations are also accepted up to 90 days in advance based on availability. Official travelers must present a copy of orders during check-in. Eligible unofficial travelers can reserve rooms seven days in advance. When there are no rooms available, listings to neighboring bases or off-post Japanese hotels can be provided. It is expected that your sponsor will coordinate with you regarding your temporary lodging requirements well in advance of your arrival.
Availability; Costs; Registration
Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m. Reservations are held beyond 6:00 p.m., only if guaranteed by a credit card. If the guest fails to cancel a guaranteed reservation by 6:00 p.m., the guest will be charged for one night's lodging. Any non-guaranteed reservation will be cancelled at 6:00 p.m. Please be aware that when traveling over the International Dateline, your arrival time may be pushed into the next day. Check-out time is 12:00 noon. Late check-outs are subject to additional charges.
If you are traveling with children and will arrive before check-in time, you or your sponsor may request reservations for the day before. This will allow your family to go directly into your room upon arrival. To guarantee an early check-in, you must reserve the room from the night before.
Single rooms $38; 2 bedroom Suites $50; Apartments $60and Distinguished Visitor Quarters $55 per night (prices are subject to change). There is an additional guest fee of $5 per individual. Children under 1 years of age are free. Children under 18 years of age are not allowed in our DVQ rooms.
If a room is not available for an official traveler, 10 days prior to arrival, a Certificate of Non-Availability (CNA) number will be issued at the time the guest is making a reservation.
Length of Stay
Military personnel and civilians must report to the housing office within 2 working days of arrival to the installation. The housing office will determine the length of stay needed before quarters are provided. Lengths of longer than 10 days must be approved by the housing office. Maximum length of stay for unofficial travelers is 14 days within a 40 day period.
The front desk and administration offices are located in our main building, 552 on Camp Zama.
Zama Army Lodging has limited pet friendly rooms that are available for use. Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis; based on in-bound PCS guest. There is a non-refundable cleaning fee of $50 and a daily pet fee of $3 per pet. Pets are limited to dogs and cats. There is a maximum of 2 animals that are allowed in a room. All additional pets will need to have arrangements made at the Camp Zama Kennels. To make kennel reservations, call 011-81-46-407-5915, DSN 315-263-5915.
The sponsor will make lodging reservations on behalf of the newcomers ahead of time. Currently, there is a short waiting period for quarters, so newcomers will transition straight from lodging into quarters.
