Temporary Housing

Temporary lodging is run by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) Candlewood Suites Hotel. If you are planning on staying in the lodging facility or one of the guest houses, Permanent Change of Station (PCS) families may make reservations once orders are received by calling 877-711-TEAM (8326) or calling 785-560-3080, DSN 312-856-2830. Ensure you have confirmed lodging reservations before traveling to the post. There are limited pet facilities in on-post lodging. Budget accordingly with length of time it may take to locate housing.

TLE - The government only reimburses 21 days for extended stays at a hotel during a PCS move. Contact your Finance Office for details regarding reimbursement.

Reservations

Advanced reservations are recommended prior to your arrival to Fort Riley. Make sure you know the exact dates your reservation is needed and keep your confirmation number. Per the 1 April 2025 JTR message, all Soldiers during a PCS move are required to use the GTC card for reservations that require a credit card guarantee. Those without reservations may be housed when space is available. Length of stay is due to availability.

Check-in/Check-out

Check-in is after 4:00 p.m. and checkout time is 11:00 a.m. Payment of the fees in cash must be made in advance; Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover are accepted.

The surrounding communities have numerous facilities for pet care and extended stays lodging for pets. The animal shelter on Fort Riley can assist you with off post facilities that will better suit your needs. Those PCS'ing with large pets such as horses. Please contact Army Community Services Relocation Program at 785-239-5739/9435 as early as possible to assist you in making arrangements for your pets.
