Government Housing

Overview

Government housing at NAS Lemoore is managed through a Public-Private Venture (PPV) with Liberty Military Housing (LMH). LMH handles day-to-day operations and maintenance for on-base family housing, while the Navy Housing Service Center (HSC) supports eligibility verification and housing advocacy.

There are currently 1,628 family units available on base:

• 194 for officers
• 1,434 for enlisted personnel

Eligibility & Waitlist

On-base family housing is available to all active-duty service members with dependents, regardless of pay grade.

Wait times vary based on:

• Service member rank
• Family size
• Current occupancy

The Navy HSC manages the waitlist and determines eligibility. Families enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Categories IV and V, receive priority placement.

Application Process

To apply for LMH housing, submit the following documents to the Navy HSC:

• PCS orders to NAS Lemoore
• Record of Emergency Data (Page 2)
• Detaching endorsement from your last duty station

Applications may be submitted in person, by mail, fax, or email. If not submitted in person, confirmation is required within 30 days of reporting. Your waitlist control date is based on your official detachment date.

Service members must check in with the Navy HSC within 30 days of arrival to secure full local move benefits and preserve their control date.

All service members planning to live on base must check in at the HSC. Those planning to live off base are also encouraged to check in before signing a lease for support with referrals or landlord concerns.

Single service member housing at NAS Lemoore is available for eligible unaccompanied personnel. These rooms are located on base and offer convenient proximity to food, recreation, and essential facilities.

• Check-in Location: Building 800 (NGIS Front Desk)
• Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Call 559-998-4609 for assistance

Eligibility:

• E1–E3 and E4s with less than four years of service are required to live in the barracks
• E4s with over four years of service may request to live off base
• Requests to live off base must be submitted via a chit through the service member’s chain of command
• Approval is typically based on building occupancy and command discretion

Geographical Bachelors (GBs)
Geographical Bachelors — service members stationed at NAS Lemoore while their dependents live elsewhere — may apply for housing on base. Approval is not guaranteed and is determined on a case-by-case basis with command approval. If approved, the service member will be placed on a waitlist.
