Loan Closet Overview

A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good.  This  program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation. 

Subtopics

The FFSC Loan Locker provides temporary household support for inbound and outbound active-duty families awaiting their household goods. Items are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be borrowed for up to:

  • 30 days (for CONUS moves)
  • 60 days (for OCONUS moves)

Available Items Include:

  • Sleeping mats
  • Playpens
  • Pots and pans
  • Cooking utensils
  • Coffee makers
  • Toasters
  • Irons and ironing boards

These basic essentials can help bridge the gap until your personal items arrive or depart. For more information or to check availability, contact the Fleet and Family Support Center at 559-998-4042.

To borrow items from the FFSC Loan Locker, please bring the following:

  • A valid driver’s license
  • A copy of your PCS orders

FFSC staff will assist you with checking out items and completing the necessary documentation. Items must be returned by the agreed upon date in clean, working condition. Late returns may limit future borrowing eligibility.
