The Fleet and Family Support Center at Naval Submarine Base New London offers a comprehensive Personal Financial Management program designed to strengthen the financial readiness, resilience, and long-term stability of Navy personnel and their families. Our program serves active duty service members, families, reservists, and retirees across the New England region.

Who We Serve, and What We Offer:

All Active-duty Sailors and their families, reservists, retirees, and DoW civilians stationed at or affiliated with Naval Submarine Base New London and installations throughout New England, and Our Accredited Financial Counselor provides in person and virtual individualized financial counseling, and a robust schedule of workshops and training events tailored to the unique financial challenges of military life. Services include:

1.  One-on-one financial counseling sessions — including triage appointments for immediate concerns and in-depth follow-on sessions for complex situations
2. Workshops on budgeting, debt management, credit, car and home buying, investing, and consumer awareness
3. Thrift Savings Plan and retirement planning guidance
4. Command Financial Specialist Training for unit-level financial readiness leaders
5. Touchpoint Curriculum and Office of Financial Readiness training for command leadership
6. Pre- and post-deployment financial readiness briefings
7. Tax season financial planning support
8. PCS/transition financial planning

FINRED — DoW Office of Financial Readiness FINRED works with the services, federal partners, and private entities to provide programs, policy, education, advocacy, and program oversight to help service members and their families achieve personal financial readiness. All active duty, National Guard, and reserve service members, their family members, and survivors are eligible for free financial counseling services.
