The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society offers budget counseling for those who are considering a major purchase, are experiencing financial problems, or need help managing a budget.
Requirements: All Active duty, retired Sailors and Marines too include all eligible family members and survivors.

The Fleet and Family Support Center provides individual financial counseling sessions to all service members and their families. To assist you and your family in being financial prepared, the FFSC offers workshops on topics including basic money management, investing, home buying, credit card management, car buying, consumer awareness, the Thrift Savings Plan and much more.

Protecting your financial health is important for you and your career. If you have questions or problems, try the following resources:
Watch your money carefully while in transit; unexpected expenditures can deplete your resources quickly! To help prepare for a move, stop by your local personnel support detachment and ask about the following entitlements: Per Diem, Temporary Lodging Allowance for moves outside the continental United States, Temporary Lodging Expense for moves inside the U.S., Mileage in Lieu of Transportation, Advance Pay and Dislocation Allowance.
If you will be staying in temporary lodging upon arrival, temporary lodging facilities: $67 to $158. Previously, single rate of $77. Visiting officer quarters/visiting quarters: $67 to $149. Previously, single rate of $70. Expect to pay at least $77.00 per night at a local hotel. Rates vary based on location and season. Be sure to ask for a military discount! There is a Navy Lodge at the Naval Submarine Base and the phone number is 860-446-3119.
