Your Military and Family Support Center provides relocation assistance to help make PCS moves as smooth as possible. Resources include:
The Fleet and Family Support Center offers relocation assistance with a pre-move workshop, one-on-one relocation counseling, help with ordering a Welcome Aboard package and much more. Newcomers are encouraged to contact the Housing Services Office upon receipt of orders for information. The FFSC can provide small household items to incoming relocating personnel on permanent change of station orders to assist until the arrival of your household goods. PCS orders must be presented to borrow the items. Call 860-694-1749, 860-694-3383 or 860-694-4695 in advance for item availability. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7 a.m. .to 4 p.m. The center is closed Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Your Moving Allowance Moving allowances are generally based on the overall weight of your household goods. Any overages on your approved weight will be your financial responsibility, so work hard to make sure you stay within your weight allowance. https://www.move.mil/entitlements
Household Goods Weight Estimator: Get to know how much your personal belongings weigh with the Weight Estimator Tool. Enter the number of items you have for each type, then click "Calculate" for that category. Shipping Your Vehicle (if applicable)
For more information, check in at your new relocation center and the housing referral office. When you have secured housing, contact the personal property office to arrange delivery of your household goods. When you move into your new residence, double-check your household goods as they are being unloaded and unpacked. Report loss or damage as soon as possible to the personal property office.
