If you need emergency assistance, you can expect to get help from your installation, your branch of service resources. There are programs to support you in a variety of situations, including victim assistance, emergencies en route and service-specific relief societies. Below, you’ll find types of assistance, contact information, and detailed procedures and guidance to help you through any tough circumstances that you or your family may face.
Emergencies are unforeseen circumstances that call for immediate action. During these times, there are agencies on and off-base that can either assist or refer you to the appropriate office. For life threatening emergencies, call 911. A Duty Chaplain is on call 24/7 for emergency situations and can be reached at the Pikes Peak Regional Command Post at 719-554-4555. The American Red Cross can be reached at 877-272-7337. For financial emergencies the M&FRC Financial Readiness Counselor can be reached at 719-567-3920 during duty hours. For personal counseling assistance, the Military and Family Life Counselor can be reached at 719-225-6003 during duty hours.
Make sure that you carry important papers with you, not packed in your household goods.
Make sure you have important phone numbers (your new squadron orderly room, Colorado Springs Regional Command Post, TMO taxi, your sponsor, etc.). Your sponsor can be invaluable in case of an emergency while in transit.
