Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Please review the information to find out what programs and services are available at this installation. Family Child Care features quality certified individuals, providing care in a loving, warm and safe home environment. FCC also offers individualized expanded child care to help meet the needs of shift workers, families with deployed members, and children with special needs. The Family Child Care Program has an extensive Resource Center to aid providers with supplies and materials and a Resource and Referral program to assist parents with finding alternative care. The FCC program offers care for children ages 2-weeks to 12 years. Travis AFB has three Child Development Centers
Travis AFB has three Child Development Centers which have passed the rigorous processing to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This recognition has been achieved by only seven percent of early childhood programs nationwide and is among the few with this accreditation in Northern California.

Child development programs are available for dependents of active duty military and Department of Defense civilians on a priority placement based system. Visit the 60th Force Support Squadron website or call the Family Child Care Program at 707-424-4596 to discuss waiting list, determine your priority, and/or explore programs specific to your needs.
Costs
Child care fees are aligned with the military pay day to help families better manage their finances. Fees for care are based upon total family income. Verification of income is required to assess fees for child care.
School Age Care offers kids ages (5-12) a safe place to interact with peers and group leaders. We provide a structured environment for youths to follow, but allowing them to explore may different activities within our program at their own leisure. We also have a Child & Youth Behavioral Consultant available to provide emotional support to any child in the program at no cost. Consultation is free and strictly confidential.
The School Age Program is designed to provide developmental care promoting readiness and quality of life. The School Age philosophy is to provide opportunities for youth to develop their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive abilities, and to experience achievement, leadership, enjoyment, friendship, and recognition. The program accommodates 244 children kinder through sixth grade. Please visit the FSS website for all the new program calendars and events.
