Programs and services are available at most installations for children up to age 12. Care may be provided in Child Development Centers, School Age Care Programs, and Family Child Care Homes. Please review the information to find out what programs and services are available at this installation. Please contact the Child and Youth Program point of contact at this installation if you require information, assistance or resources for child care in your local community.
Family Child Care (FCC) features quality certified individuals, providing care in a loving, warm and safe home environment. FCC also offers individualized expanded child care to help meet the needs of shift workers, families with deployed members, and children with special needs. The Family Child Care Program has an extensive Resource Center to aid providers with supplies and materials and a Resource and Referral program to assist parents with finding alternative care. The FCC program offers care for children ages 2-weeks to 12 years. Travis AFB has three Child Development Centers
Travis AFB has three Child Development Centers which have passed the rigorous processing to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This recognition has been achieved by only seven percent of early childhood programs nationwide and is among the few with this accreditation in Northern California.

Child development programs are available for eligible military and Department of Defense (DoD) families on a priority placement-based system. To apply for enrollment in the Child Developmen Centers visit Military Child Care. Costs
Child care fees are based upon total family income. Verification of income is required to assess fees for child care.
