Travis Air Force Base offers privatized housing managed by Travis Family Homes. Housing includes two-, three- and four-bedroom units located in five different neighborhoods. Privatized Housing
Community Amenities - Privatized housing requires your full Basic Allowance for Housing to pay for rent and utilities while providing a variety of amenities and support services.
Community features such as a community center, several playgrounds, basketball courts, walking/fitness trails and a dog park are just some of the amenities you will find with Balfour Beatty Communities.

Paying Rent for Privatized Housing - Similar to living in the local community, you will sign a lease agreement for at least a one-year term. Your lease includes a military clause and a lease termination clause. Your rent will be paid monthly utilizing an authorized allotment of you BAH that is paid directly to the Privatized Housing Office. For move-in costs, there will be a pro-rated amount that will be paid directly to Travis Family Homes.
Personal Property Insurance - You are required to obtain renters insurance for your possessions that will be $100,000 in liability and also list Travis Family Homes as an interested party. Future tenants will be required to provide proof of renters insurance prior to moving into their home on base. Travis Family Homes will provide all information pertaining to this after there is a signed offer letter.
Community Housing
Travis AFB is located in Solano County. The local housing area includes Fairfield, Vacaville, Dixon and Suisun City. This is a high-cost area, so be prepared to possibly pay out of pocket for your rental. The average monthly rent for a two-bedroom apartment is $2,700.00; for a three-bedroom apartment it is $3,000.00. The average cost for rental homes start at about $2,800 and go up from there.
