A loan closet is a program that allows service members, families and loved ones to borrow durable equipment or resources especially as they are awaiting their household good. This program varies by service so check out the below information to see what is offered at this installation.
The Loan Locker at Travis Air Force Base is called the Airmen's Attic, It is run by the Travis Spouses Club.
It provides most items necessary to set up temporary housekeeping in the event that members would like to move into their permanent residence before their household goods are delivered or if they would like to stay in their residence after their HHG are shipped out. All items are at no charge to the service member or dependent.
It is located at 560 Hickam Ave., in Building 247. Hours of operation are Monday and Wednesday, 4-6 p.m. for E-5 and below. All ranks is open 2nd and 4th Wednesday. The attic is staffed by volunteers, so it is recommended that you call in advance to make sure that it is open. Contact number: 707-424-8740.
